Fable has been delayed from its planned fall 2026 window to February 2027. Xbox Game Studios and Playground Games did not give a specific day, but confirmed that the game will be shown again at the Xbox Games Showcase 2026.

The project remains an action RPG developed by Playground Games and published by Xbox Game Studios. It is still set for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC via Steam and Microsoft Store, plus Game Pass.
The move pushes Fable out of its original autumn slot and into early 2027. For now, there are no announced changes to platforms, the game’s overall setup, or the scope of the project.
That leaves the delay as the main update, while the next public look is already scheduled for Xbox Games Showcase 2026, where more of the game should be shown.
No exact February date has been announced yet, so the release window remains broad even after the delay.
