Lords of the Fallen II Delayed to Q1 2027

CI Games and Hexworks have delayed Lords of the Fallen II to the first quarter of 2027. The soulslike action RPG is no longer planned for fall 2026, as previously announced. The next entry in the series remains in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, but no more specific date has been shared within the new release window.

The decision is tied to development work carried out alongside the Gameplay Feedback Team, a group of experienced soulslike players within the Launch Creative Team. Their ongoing input helped the studio identify areas of the experience that can be further improved before release.

According to CI Games, the delay gives Hexworks additional room to refine the overall experience and launch the game in a stronger state. In a genre where combat rhythm, control response, difficulty, and challenge structure directly shape the player experience, the final stages of development can make a major difference.

The move to Q1 2027 also has a commercial reason. CI Games believes that placing Lords of the Fallen II outside the highly competitive holiday period will give the game more room to receive the attention it deserves at launch. The new window avoids the pressure of an overcrowded autumn season while giving the team a clearer path to complete its work without rushing toward a year-end release.

The team said it remains encouraged by the response to recent reveals and is focused on delivering a standout dark fantasy action RPG that can serve as a worthy successor to the franchise. For now, Lords of the Fallen II still has no exact release date, but the delay makes one thing clear: the project will need several more months before returning with further updates.
