Phasmophobia: Willow Rework Lands July 21, 1.0 Set for 2027

Kinetic Games has updated the Phasmophobia roadmap, setting the game’s 1.0 release for the second half of 2027. The revised development plan places quality and core system improvements at the center, with the goal of delivering a more polished co-op horror experience before the game leaves Early Access. The next major step will arrive on July 21 with the free 13 Willow Street rework, available across all current platforms.

Willow will be the third map to receive a major overhaul following Grafton Farmhouse, Bleasdale Farmhouse, and the recent update to 6 Tanglewood Drive. The rework will feature refreshed rooms, adjusted hiding spots, and new lore integrated into the environment. It will also launch alongside the first of two major quality-of-life updates focused on player character models, animations, and customization options.

After Willow, Kinetic Games will release a second quality-of-life update before moving forward with the game’s Unity 6 migration. The 2026 plan also includes the return of the Crimson Eye and Winter’s Jest seasonal events, while the Edgefield rework is scheduled for December. The roadmap is therefore not only focused on temporary events, but on broader improvements to maps, presentation, and the overall quality of paranormal investigations.

The 1.0 update is planned to bring even larger changes. The current ghost roster will be replaced by unique ghosts with their own appearances, animations, and backstories, making each encounter more distinct visually and narratively. The team also plans to expand the game’s lore through environmental storytelling, ghost-specific conduits, and deeper links between each haunting, its location, and the people connected to it. Audio improvements are also planned for environmental effects, weather systems, and spatial sound.

Phasmophobia will continue growing throughout 2026 and 2027 before its full release. The game is currently available in Early Access for PC, PlayStation 5, PS VR2, and Xbox Series X|S. Its Nintendo Switch debut remains planned for the second half of 2027 alongside the launch of version 1.0.
