Ever After Again: A Stories Adventure is the new action RPG from Spearhead Games, announced for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam. The game returns to the world of Stories: The Path of Destinies, while also being built for newcomers who want to jump into this fantasy adventure without playing the original first.
Reynardo is back as the central hero, ten years after defeating the mad Emperor Isengrim with the Book of Destinies. The former sky pirate has traded disastrous futures, ancient magic and reckless heroics for a quieter life with Zenobia. That peace does not last. When a new evil threatens Boreas, Reynardo has to open the Book of Destinies again and search for the one future that can save the world.
The structure once again revolves around branching choices and looping outcomes. Each path can lead to different consequences, secrets, failures or even Reynardo’s death. When one possible future ends, the adventure returns to the Book of Destinies, letting players use what they have learned to move closer to the true Hero Path.
Combat is built around fast action RPG battles with melee weapons, ranged attacks, magic, combos and ability chains. Completing story paths unlocks cards that grant upgradable weapons, spells and passive powers, allowing players to combine effects and reshape Reynardo’s build without restarting the adventure or committing permanently to one playstyle.
With sarcastic narration, floating islands, airships and a fantasy world shaped by bad decisions, Ever After Again keeps the playful tone of the series while expanding its choice-driven loop.
