Star Trek: Outposts Unknown will launch on October 20, 2026 for PC via Steam. Developed by Magic Fuel Games and published by Playstack, it is a narrative-driven outpost builder set in the Star Trek universe, built around research, exploration and the construction of scientific facilities across strange new worlds.
The mission takes players to the X’Lehari System, where a mysterious cosmic force threatens a new ally and could endanger all life in the system. The player takes the role of captain, deciding what to build, which technologies to pursue and how each structure can support the growth of the outpost.
Management is not limited to base efficiency. The crew must be led through dangerous encounters that test morale and operational skill, with officers to develop, tasks to assign and decisions that affect the survival of the expedition. The game combines planning, technology trees and narrative responsibility rather than treating construction as a purely mechanical loop.
The story is an original Star Trek adventure set in the 23rd century, alongside the era depicted in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. Across different environments, new characters and familiar technology, the goal is to render aid to a fragile civilization facing an impending catastrophe.
