Xbox Game Pass opens September 2026 with a varied lineup built around very different rhythms and genres. The new wave of additions includes competitive platform racing, dice and card roguelikes, 3D fighting, cooperative survival, an ice hockey trial and a major Call of Duty entry joining the catalog.
The first available game is Shelldiver, included from September 1 on cloud, console and PC for Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium and PC Game Pass. It is an incremental game starring an elderly turtle who catches jellyfish, sells them in a small shop, upgrades gear, explores ocean biomes and helps the local turtle population between deep-sea dives and well-earned naps.
Speedrunners 2: King of Speed arrives on September 3 for cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC, available day one with Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. The sequel keeps the focus on competitive platform racing, online and local play, up to eight players online, tightly designed maps, power-ups, grappling hooks and one clear rule: stay on screen while rivals are pushed out of the race.
On September 4, Dice a Million joins cloud, Xbox Series X|S, handheld console and PC, now included with Game Pass Premium in addition to Ultimate and PC Game Pass. It is a dice-based deckbuilding roguelike where the goal is to reach one million through combinations, powerful rings and decisions that turn luck into strategy. The same day, EA Play members on console can try EA Sports NHL 27 for ten hours in early access.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War enters the catalog on September 8 for cloud, console and PC, bringing a single-player campaign across East Berlin, Vietnam, Turkey, the Soviet KGB headquarters and other Cold War locations. September 10 adds The Royal Writ, a medieval deckbuilding roguelike where cards march toward glory or permanent death, and Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage, the latest version of the 3D fighting game with World Stage mode, cross-play, rollback netcode and improved training and replay tools.
RuneScape: Dragonwilds follows on September 15 for cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The cooperative survival adventure moves to Ashenfall, a forgotten continent where dragons have awakened and players must gather resources, build, craft and prepare to face the Dragon Queen. On the same day, TCG Card Shop Simulator reaches version 1.0, adding playable Tetramon card battles, deckbuilding, tournaments and full shop management.
Aniimo will also receive a monthly Game Pass perk on September 16, with one Ultra Aniipod, Growth Flowers and Glimmer. Players who want to track arrivals and departures can use the Playority Calendar to save games to their account, receive notifications and keep personalized updates organized around dates, platforms and service availability. On September 15, Commandos: Origins, Cricket 24, Cyberpunk 2077, Dead Cells, Deep Rock Galactic Survivor, Frostpunk 2, Mullet Madjack, Spiritfarer, Superliminal and Train Sim World 5 leave the catalog.
