ZERO PARADES: For Dead Spies will launch for PlayStation 5 on November 3 directly as the new Director’s Cut. On the same day, the PC version already available through Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG will receive all Director’s Cut content as a free update. ZA/UM is expanding its story-driven espionage RPG with a new encounter, full voice-overs, and several practical improvements.
The Director’s Cut adds a new dramatic encounter and a backstage mode alongside complete voice acting. Improved inventory management, additional outfits, and 21:9 and 32:9 ultrawide support are also part of the package. This makes the November release more than a simple console port, as existing PC players will receive a substantial update at the same time.
ZERO PARADES follows Hershel Wilk, code-named CASCADE, a gifted but damaged operant still haunted by a mission that destroyed her team five years earlier. Called back for another mysterious assignment, she must rebuild a broken network and navigate a city filled with political struggles, competing interests, and people whose loyalties are rarely straightforward.
The game approaches espionage as a cRPG built heavily around dialogue, skill checks, and consequences. Informants, loyalists, and agitators can become useful contacts or dangerous obstacles, while decisions affect relationships, available paths, and Hershel’s psychological stability. Failure is not necessarily a dead end either: a bad dice roll can push the story into a different situation that players must survive through improvisation.
More dramatic confrontations use Tactical View, which freezes time and gives players a chance to study their options and even look ahead at possible outcomes. Conditioning provides another layer by letting Hershel reinforce specific thoughts and shape her identity, while Fatigue, Anxiety, and Delirium represent the physical and psychological pressure of operating in the field.
