AION 2 now has a launch date. NC’s new MMORPG will release on October 5, 2026 for PC via Steam and PURPLE across North America, South America, Europe and Asia. Before the official opening, the team will run a Launch Scale Test on September 17 and 18, built to recreate conditions close to the live service and check server and infrastructure stability.

That test will also give selected players a chance to experience the game before launch. A second pre-release window will follow for Founder’s Pack players, who will receive five days of Early Access from September 30 to October 4. The full launch is then scheduled for the following Monday, making the final stretch toward release unusually clear for an MMO of this scale.
On Steam, AION 2 is positioned as an MMORPG built around aerial combat. Players choose a faction, ascend as a Daeva and fight across an Unreal Engine 5 world described as 36 times larger than the original AION. Flight is not only a traversal tool; it shapes combat, exploration, battlefield control and the way players read vertical space.
Progression focuses on customizable classes, positioning, timing and adaptation during encounters. PvE content includes solo instances, five-player party dungeons, 10-player group activities, more than 200 dungeons, open-world events, seasonal challenges and competitive rankings. Faction war, online co-op, PvP, character creation with more than 200 options, outfits, mounts and collectible wings round out the broader MMO structure.
Players who want to track the test, Early Access and full launch can use the Playority Calendar to save AION 2 to their account, receive notifications and keep personalized updates organized around dates and platforms. More details are available on the official website for AION 2.
