Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 now has a release date: the cooperative third-person shooter from Cold Iron Studios and Daybreak Game Company will launch on August 25, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. The sequel puts Colonial Marines back into hostile corners of the Alien universe, with missions built for up to four players and xenomorphs attacking from corridors, shadows, and blind spots. The new entry is built around deeper squad mechanics, smarter enemies, and a fully customizable Specialist class.

The game will be sold digitally in two editions. The Standard Edition is priced at $49.99 and includes the base game. The 40th Anniversary Premium Edition costs $69.99 and adds two cosmetic packs: Ripley’s Hive Exterminator Pack, inspired by Ellen Ripley’s look in 1986’s Aliens, and Herk Mondo’s Pest Pack, based on a more comic-book-styled hero. The premium content includes outfits, exclusive weapons, decals, and extra customization elements for player-created marines. Standard Edition owners will also be able to buy the premium upgrade separately for $19.99.
The core loop remains focused on cooperation under pressure. Every room can become a sudden fight, with xenomorph swarms, ambushes, and escalating encounters forcing the fireteam to coordinate class abilities and react quickly. Survival depends on how well players control space, support each other, and adjust when a tense standoff turns into a full-scale firefight.
Another launch-day add-on is Rain’s Jackson’s Star Pack, available for all editions at $9.99. The pack brings an outfit based on Rain Carradine from Alien: Romulus and a modified pulse rifle with a cryoweapon underbarrel, designed to freeze and shatter charging enemies. It also highlights the sequel’s new element-based weapon mods, while adding special decals and further marine customization options.
