Amphibian Announces a Turn-Based RPG About Frogs, War and Survival

Amphibian has been announced for 2028 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam. The game from JARCORP Interactive is described as a “Super2D turn-based RPG,” built around a concise campaign, hand-crafted battles and exploration that shifts between 2D and isometric perspectives.

The story begins with a direct survival crisis. A countrywide drought pushes Sapo and his frog allies into war against invading toads. With dehydration and starvation gripping the pond, the group must find a way to solve the crisis and liberate its homeland before everything collapses. The premise is not just about winning fights, but protecting a home that is running out of time.

The RPG systems are designed to make every resource matter. There is no traditional economy, no shops and no buying or selling items, so health, inventory and supplies become decisions rather than background management. A single hit can cause persistent, grievous injuries, while each character develops in different ways depending on training choices and the challenges faced during the journey.

Amphibian replaces random encounters and level grinding with curated battles, focused secrets, old-school puzzles and limited side content. Players who want to track the game toward 2028 can use the Playority Calendar to save releases to their account, receive notifications and keep personalized updates organized around dates and platforms. More details are available on the official website for Amphibian.
