Attack on Titan 3 will launch this winter for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam. Koei Tecmo will publish the new action game from Omega Force, which is set to tell the complete story of Attack on Titan from beginning to end. This is not a release focused on a single arc of the series. Instead, it aims to follow humanity’s full war against the Titans, with the omni-directional mobility gear battle system once again at the centre of the experience and updated to make every encounter faster, more acrobatic, and more intense.

The ODM Gear system has been adjusted to heighten the feeling of speed and freedom when attacking Titans. These enemies will not simply be targets waiting to be reached from the air, however, as they will feature new attacks and behaviours designed to keep players moving and constantly aware of their position during battle. A new Casual Mode will also be available, giving players of different skill levels a more accessible way to experience the pressure and excitement of the Scout Regiment. The action is built around the series’ signature three-dimensional combat, while adding options meant to support a wider range of players.
One of the main additions is the ability to create and lead a personal Survey Squad. Players can build a team from a broad cast of characters with different skills and abilities, then take them on missions beyond the Walls. Constructing supply bases, defeating dangerous Titans, and expanding humanity’s territory will all be part of the progression. The world outside the Walls remains a hostile place, where direct attacks will not always be the right answer. Using the environment intelligently and coordinating the squad will be essential to survive each new assault.
Players take the role of a customizable Scout: an engineer fascinated by the world beyond the Walls, chosen to lead the 104th Cadet Corps after proving themselves to Command. The adventure will allow players to interact and fight alongside Eren, Mikasa, Armin, and the rest of the Attack on Titan cast. Building relationships with these characters will unlock new battle abilities and special scenes. A new opening animation from MAPPA is also in production under the direction of Arifumi Imai. It will be added through an update after launch rather than included in the base game.
The first gameplay footage arrived alongside a new trailer and a presentation focused on the game’s features. Attack on Titan 3 is shaping up to combine a full retelling of the series with more evolved action, stronger squad management, and a new perspective on the dangerous world beyond the Walls.
