Elta: Defy All Gods will launch on February 2, 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam. Publisher Focus Entertainment and developer Afterburner Studios have also released a demo on all three platforms. The action platformer combines martial arts combat with fast movement and exploration across three science fantasy worlds.
Players take the role of a warrior monk chosen to search for a lost god. The mission leaves the protagonist stranded on a hostile planet with no way home, but a new draconic companion named Elta joins the journey. Together they must challenge the corrupted gods ruling these worlds. The stakes extend to the monk’s nomadic people, who have been exiled from their home world for centuries and are still looking for somewhere to belong.
Combat is built around three martial arts stances that can be switched during a fight. Different techniques help break through enemy defenses, while energy gained in battle can be used for magic attacks. Anime-inspired finishers provide another way to end an encounter. As the adventure progresses, players can unlock additional melee moves. Elta grows stronger too, moving toward a true form and gaining elemental abilities that expand what the pair can do.
The three worlds contain abandoned temples, industrial ruins, hidden routes, secrets, and collectibles. Their environments range from icy cliffs and desert canyons to islands above the clouds. Traversal combines double jumps, air dashes, and wall runs, with new movement technology opening up more places to reach as players explore. That expanding set of abilities is tied to the journey through each world as well as the fights along the way.
The demo offers a chance to try Elta: Defy All Gods ahead of its February release on PS5, Xbox Series, or PC. Players can also add the game to their accounts through the Playority Calendar to track its launch and receive updates about games they follow.
