Fading Echo has a PC release date: Emeteria’s elemental action-adventure RPG, published by New Tales, launches on Steam and Epic Games Store on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 for $19.99. A new launch trailer is also scheduled for release alongside the game, while PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions are planned for later this year.
The debut title from Emeteria puts players in the role of One, a young Legend gifted with Æther and caught in a multiverse breaking under the Paradox. The journey unfolds across Corel, a desertscape split into fractured realities, hostile floating isles and unstable spaces where hazards, resources and combat rules can change; the official website for Fading Echo frames that journey around a clear identity, with water acting as body, weapon and path through the world.
Its central idea is the ability to shift between human form and a living sphere of water, turning movement into part of the combat language. One can slip through cracks, surf through pipes, crash down from above, fire water waves and charged blasts, then connect elemental powers with hand-to-hand attacks. Water also reacts with lava, toxic waste and Paradox corruption, creating chain reactions that can burn, solidify or weaken enemies while reshaping puzzles and fights.
The Steam demo covers the first hour and opens the Cindervault Source, an area designed around water, lava and toxic waste as tools for exploration, environmental puzzle-solving and combat experiments. It also introduces Rahne and Vellum, two voices connected to a story where One fights alone in the moment but is not isolated from allies, tensions and the cost of failure.
The English voice cast includes Samantha Béart, Laura Bailey, Matt Mercer, Liam O’Brien, Sam Riegel and Jasmine Bhullar, with an original soundtrack by Maxwell Sterling. With a dated PC launch, an available demo and console versions set for 2026, Fading Echo lands in the summer calendar as an action RPG focused on elemental systems, mobility and battles that change when the world reacts back.
