Hela: of Mice & Magic will launch in Q4 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. The story begins with a quiet but serious crisis: the kind witch who has long protected the world falls ill, leaving her familiars to restore harmony across the land. The official website for Hela: of Mice & Magic frames the journey as a cooperative fairy tale built around nature, magic and small acts of kindness that can change the world around the player.

Exploration moves through mountain trails, magical forests and calm lakes, with a pace built around curiosity rather than pressure. The mouse can glide through the air, gather items, uncover story fragments and treat the environment like a miniature playground, where everyday objects become obstacles, tools or shortcuts inside a landscape much larger than the hero.

Froggy, the magical backpack, sits at the center of many interactions. It can be used to collect resources, manipulate objects, solve environmental puzzles and find playful ways through the world. Realistic physics and dynamic environments add a more tactile layer to the adventure, while potion brewing and helpful actions push the tone toward warmth and discovery rather than combat-driven progression.

Hela: of Mice & Magic can be played solo, in local split-screen with a friend or in online co-op for up to four players. Solo play also includes the Shade System, which lets the player create magical copies of the mouse to help with puzzles and world interactions designed around cooperation. That keeps the full adventure playable alone while preserving the collaborative identity behind the game.
