Phantom Blade Zero has officially opened pre-orders ahead of its October 29, 2026 launch for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. S-GAME marked the occasion with a new trailer running for roughly 11 minutes, while Sony will host a dedicated State of Play on August 17 featuring a deeper look at gameplay. The wuxia action RPG is therefore entering another major stage before release, with its digital editions and pricing now confirmed.
The Standard Edition costs €69.99 and includes the full game alongside early unlocks for the Treasure Basin accessory and Legacy outfit. Both items can still be obtained through normal in-game progression. The €79.99 Deluxe Edition adds the exclusive Wulin Legend and Blood-Steel Form outfits, plus a digital art book and soundtrack. The story follows Soul, a warrior framed for murdering his master and left with a devastating wound to the heart. With only 66 days remaining to live, he travels through the Wulin while hunted by assassins and trying to unravel a conspiracy surrounding the martial world. Exploration takes players into the mysterious Phantom World, where hidden passages, mechanisms, shifting environments, and alternative routes encourage searching beyond the most obvious path.
Combat offers more than 30 primary weapons together with over 20 Phantom Edges taken from defeated enemies. Dodging, deflecting, countering, and attacking flow together through combos rooted in Chinese martial arts. S-GAME describes the wider aesthetic as “kungfupunk,” combining traditional Chinese imagery with industrial ruins, mechanical prosthetics, cold steel, modern rock music, and dark fantasy. The game is being developed with Unreal Engine 5 and uses motion capture to translate martial arts choreography into its battles.
The next major showcase arrives with the dedicated State of Play on August 17 at 7:00 p.m. PT. Following the newly released 11-minute trailer, the broadcast will provide another extended look at Phantom Blade Zero before Soul begins his 66-day journey on PS5 and PC this October.
