PlayStation Plus Classics is preparing new additions for Premium subscribers, with three names tied to different parts of PlayStation history: Mega Man X Command Mission, Dino Crisis 2 and Ratchet & Clank. Not every release date has been detailed yet, but the lineup already frames a small retro wave built around Capcom action, survival horror and PlayStation 2 platform adventure.
Mega Man X Command Mission is the first planned arrival, joining the service later this month. The game originally released as a PlayStation 2 action title from Capcom and stands out inside the Classics selection because it brings back a less obvious corner of Mega Man history, rather than leaning only on the most familiar entries from the broader franchise.
Dino Crisis 2 will follow later this year. This is another Capcom game, but from a very different direction: the PSOne sequel belongs to the survival horror side of the publisher’s catalog and brings attention back to a series still strongly connected to the first PlayStation era, with dinosaurs, tension and a sharper pace than the original game.
The third addition is Ratchet & Clank, Insomniac Games’ original PlayStation 2 release from 2002. Its arrival in the Classics catalog highlights one of the defining series born during the PS2 generation, with a formula that mixed platforming, oversized weapons and sci-fi comedy before growing into one of PlayStation’s longest-running identities.
The subscription context matters. Classics games are reserved for the PlayStation Plus Premium tier, while Game Catalog titles are available through Extra and Premium. The retro catalog recently added Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams for PS2 and Disney’s Atlantis: The Lost Empire for PSOne. Players who want to follow new additions and catalog changes can use the Playority Calendar to save games to their account, receive notifications and keep personalized updates organized around services, dates and platforms.
