Raw Fury and Exnilo Studio have announced that Rivage will launch on August 13 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store. The sci-fi puzzle adventure also has a demo available now on PC, offering around one hour of gameplay through the first sections of the A.R.E.S. station. It introduces the atmosphere, early puzzles, and basic premise, although save data from the demo will not carry over to the full game because it is a customized version.
The story takes place in the 25th century, after humanity has been forced to expand beyond its own solar system. Among the stars, the planet VESTA is discovered as a possible new home. To study its potential, the A.R.E.S. space station is launched into orbit, but the mission collapses when the station and its crew are caught inside a cosmic phenomenon that bends reality and turns the facility into something far more unstable.
Players take on the role of Miranda, who wakes up alone aboard the station and trapped within the strange event. Around her are echoes of what happened before: objects that seem out of place, doors suddenly unlocked, messages left behind, and clues that make the A.R.E.S. feel almost as if it is challenging her. To survive, Miranda must rely on observation, logic, and experimentation with unusual objects while piecing together the truth behind the crew’s disappearance.
The station is designed as a fully interactable environment where every item can carry meaning. Artifacts, research data, hidden notes, abandoned workstations, journals, personal logs, and encrypted messages all help rebuild the lives of the people who once lived there. Rivage uses those fragments to mix scientific mystery with human vulnerability, turning the A.R.E.S. into a place defined not only by technology and distortion, but also by isolation, fear, and broken relationships.
Puzzles are woven directly into the story rather than separated from it. Miranda will repair broken systems, realign malfunctioning mechanisms, and solve environmental challenges that involve gravity, magnetism, and the flow of time. The K9 System supports the investigation by logging discoveries and retaining certain puzzle solutions, reducing repetition while keeping the focus on the central mystery. Every step brings Miranda closer to escape, but also closer to understanding the cost behind the distortions that consumed the station.
