Rogue Eclipse launches on Steam on August 7

Rogue Eclipse has a PC release date: the spacefighter roguelike from Huskrafts, published by Outersloth, launches on Steam on August 7. Built by the micro-studio led by Husban Siddiqi, the game mixes arcade flight, roguelike repetition and a space-opera setting shaped by Arabesque Futurism.

Players take the role of a pilot fighting on the front lines of humanity’s future, where each attempt feeds into the next. The loop is built around trying, dying and returning with sharper skills, better upgrades and a stronger starfighter. Battles unfold in the deepest parts of space against swarms of starfighters and fleets of starships, turning each run into a test of movement, firepower and awareness.

The game is designed as a roguelike spacefighter, so progression depends on adaptation rather than a single fixed route. Players can choose from a destructive arsenal, upgrade and customize their ship, and personalize how it handles threats. Destructible environments also matter, especially when diving into massive enemy behemoths where close-range maneuvering and aggressive shooting become part of the same push forward.

Its identity draws from classic arcade space combat and mech-action energy, but the setting is not limited to a standard military sci-fi frame. The Arabesque Futurism influence gives the conflict a more specific visual and cultural direction, while the space-opera scale keeps the stakes large: a merciless evil threatens the cosmos, and every sortie throws the pilot back into the war.

Rogue Eclipse will also be playable before launch at PAX West on July 14 and For One Night Only in London on July 29. For Huskrafts, this is a debut title from a UK-based solo indie developer with support from a publishing label connected to the creators of Among Us. That combination puts the game in a clear lane: fast spaceflight, repeatable runs, ship building and modern arcade action built around spectacle rather than slow simulation.
