Ayelet Studio’s action adventure is set in an alternate-history version of 11th-century South India, using the Chola Empire as the stage for a cinematic story about power, exile and leadership.
The protagonist is Vinnendhiran Chola, a privileged prince forced beyond the palace walls as his father is dying, enemies gather at the borders and traitors whisper inside the court. His journey is not only about inheriting a crown. It is about understanding the kingdom he was born to rule before he can become the king it needs.
Thanjai is built around temple towns, crowded markets, fertile river plains, dangerous frontier roads, occupied settlements and courts filled with ambition. Everyday life matters: priests, farmers, merchants, fishermen, rebels and spies all respond to how Vinnendhiran presents himself, moves through public spaces and begins to learn the consequences of decisions made far above ordinary people.
Action combines infiltration, close-quarters fighting and psychological control of the battlefield. The Surul Vaal, a flexible steel weapon, can sweep through groups from beyond normal reach or shift into targeted close-range strikes without breaking momentum. The heavy Aruvaal and Valari add more period-inspired options, while executions, pressure and targeted kills can shatter enemy morale.
Stealth also avoids easy shortcuts such as glowing outlines through walls. Intel must be earned by shadowing targets, stealing names and passwords, creating distractions, isolating guards and blending into crowds. Guards hear movement, notice strange behavior and share suspicion, so one mistake can spread through an entire outpost. Mounts such as horses, elephants and bulls add another layer to movement through the city and its outskirts.
