Tormented Souls II will launch for Switch 2 on October 15, 2026, bringing PQube and Dual Effect’s survival horror sequel to Nintendo’s newer hardware. A physical game-key card edition will also be available. The game first released on October 23, 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG. On Steam, it also carries an 87 percent positive user rating.

The sequel brings back Caroline Walker after the events at Wildberger Hospital. Her attempt to live normally with her sister Anna collapses when Anna begins suffering visions of violence and death, creating disturbing drawings that become real. The sisters travel to Villa Hess, an isolated town in the mountains of southern Chile, where a mysterious clinic appears to offer a cure. Instead, Caroline is pulled into another nightmare when Mother Lucia and her cult kidnap Anna for their own twisted plans.
The structure stays close to classic survival horror, mixing exploration, limited resources, environmental tension, and puzzles built around examining, manipulating, and combining objects. Villa Hess offers a wider set of unnerving locations, including a shadowy convent, a derelict shopping mall, and an abandoned school. Caroline can also use supernatural powers to move between realities, alter the past, reshape the present, and search for alternate paths through the town’s nightmarish Other Side.
Combat remains rough, desperate, and improvised. Caroline can collect and modify makeshift weapons such as the nailer and chainsaw, while a quick select feature lets her change equipment more easily during fights. New enemies range from skittering bladed horrors to heavy armored abominations, with monstrous boss encounters pushing survival beyond simple shooting. Players can lean into the ’90s horror feel with fixed cameras, limited saves, and tank controls, or switch to assisted mode for a more approachable experience.
