Kwalee and FLYOS have announced Vampire: The Masquerade – Eternal Whispers, a narrative-driven CRPG set in the World of Darkness and coming to PC. The game takes Vampire: The Masquerade into a dark modern Montreal shaped by political intrigue, buried secrets, and personal horror. Rather than building the experience around traditional action, Eternal Whispers focuses on roleplaying, investigation, consequence, and a mature atmosphere where every decision can leave a mark.

Players take the role of Gabe, a vampire awakened after decades of torpor with fractured memories and a past buried deeper than the dead. Montreal has changed in his absence. The Sabbat is gone, new powers rule from the shadows, and old loyalties have decayed beneath neon lights, abandoned cathedrals, and the ruins of forgotten faiths. Guided by Sam, a reluctant Thin-Blood, Gabe begins by hunting a rogue ghoul, but that first lead soon spirals into a conspiracy tied to the Temple of Eternal Whispers, a vast underground cathedral built in devotion to a forbidden faith.
Gabe’s return was not an accident. His release sets forgotten forces in motion, while something ancient still lies buried beneath the city, powerful enough to reshape Montreal’s undead society forever. The deeper he investigates his connection to the Temple, the more he is forced to confront the darkness within himself. The central conflict is not only political or supernatural, but personal: whether to embrace the monstrous legacy of his Sabbat origins or fight to preserve what remains of his humanity.
Eternal Whispers does not feature traditional combat encounters, but that does not make it a passive or peaceful RPG. Players can still pursue violent, manipulative, or ruthless approaches through choices, dialogue, betrayals, alliances, and narrative paths. Every conversation, act of violence, broken promise, or negotiated compromise can shape relationships, uncover hidden truths, and influence how the world reacts to Gabe. Failure is also part of the design. Botched negotiations, missed clues, reckless decisions, and damaged trust do not stop progression; they transform the story, opening new consequences, tensions, and routes forward.
Investigation will unfold through exploration, dialogue, eavesdropping, and environmental storytelling. Montreal’s underworld is filled with fragmented clues, unreliable memories, deception, and mysteries that may not have clean answers. Character creation will let players customize Gabe’s appearance and attributes before shaping his path through trauma, hunger, obsession, and vampire politics. Deep roleplaying systems, meaningful choices, Final Death mode, and permanent consequences reinforce the idea of immortality as a burden rather than a fantasy. With a gothic visual identity inspired by dark illustration, concept art, contemporary urban decay, and underground sanctuaries, Eternal Whispers aims to turn the World of Darkness into an uncompromising CRPG about power, faith, identity, and the cost of surviving as a monster.
