Waltz and Jam will launch on December 3, 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam. Developer Flyway Games announced the date during the Triple-I Initiative Showcase, also confirming the console versions. A free Steam demo is available now and covers the opening hour of the hand-drawn action adventure, which combines exploration, platforming, puzzles, and combat.

Waltz wakes up without his memories in Downtown, a mysterious afterlife. Guided by the enigmatic Low and accompanied by his spirit puppy Jam, he must collect seven stamps to reach the Gate of Judgement. Their journey takes them through seven worlds inspired by the Seven Deadly Sins. These include chaotic restaurants, castles shaped by light and shadow, and deserts stretching out like vast seas.
Each chapter introduces its own environments, mechanics, enemies, and boss. Interconnected areas contain hidden secrets and environmental puzzles, with the partnership between Waltz and Jam providing ways to uncover new routes. Jam can change into different forms: a bouncing Water Ball helps the pair cross gaps, while a Trampoline transformation lets them reach higher places. His abilities develop as the adventure continues.
Waltz has tools of his own, using toys left behind by legendary craftsmen to open paths and deal with enemies. Combining those gadgets with Jam’s transformations is part of working through the obstacles in each realm. Boss encounters require players to learn attack patterns and use the puppy’s assistance to overcome them. The duo’s growing abilities expand their options as they progress toward the Gate of Judgement.
The PC demo offers an introduction to the characters and their journey before the simultaneous release across all three announced platforms. Players can visit the official website for Waltz and Jam for a look at its illustrated afterlife. A new trailer released during the showcase accompanies the launch date announcement and the confirmation of the PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 editions.
