Wild Wild Eden revealed, Early Access planned for 2027

Shueisha Games and Magnus Games Studio have revealed Wild Wild Eden, an open-world survival crafting RPG planned to enter Early Access on PC via Steam in spring 2027. The project first appeared in 2023 under the working title Project Survival, but it now has a clear identity built around resource gathering, construction, exploration, and creature raising. Staying alive will not be the only focus of the adventure. The relationship with its monsters is positioned as a central part of expanding a settlement and deciding how to approach the planet’s dangers.

The narrative premise begins with a disaster that leaves the home planet beyond recovery. Survivors cross space in search of a place to live and land in an untamed world filled with resources and unfamiliar lifeforms. That discovery is not simply the start of a new colony. A larger mystery surrounds the world’s rebirth: earlier generations were given one explanation for its destruction, yet returning to these lands raises doubts about what truly happened. Exploring, building, and surviving will therefore also become ways to uncover secrets buried below the surface.

Wild Wild Eden presents its planet as an open space crossed by forests, mountains, shimmering seas, ancient ruins, and landmasses floating in the sky. Exploration is meant to go beyond the simple hunt for materials, since each trip can bring players closer to the setting’s secrets and to unusual creatures. Its visual direction also leans into an anime-inspired style rather than the photorealism common to many survival games. The aim is a fantasy world with a distinct character, moving from ground-level landscapes to airborne islands and offering locations that may become the foundation of a new life.

The genre’s familiar activities will still matter. Players can gather resources, craft tools and equipment, and build a customized settlement across almost any part of the map. The building system supports very different settings, from a waterfall to the interior of a volcano, so a base can reflect the player’s own style. The game also adds a life-simulation layer: farming and fishing are part of the routine, while some creatures can help with everyday work. Water Slimes, for instance, can assist with cultivating fields and even water crops automatically, making the settlement more self-sufficient.

What sets Wild Wild Eden apart from more conventional survival games is the role given to monsters. They are not only enemies or tools used when needed: after taming, they become travel partners, members of the community, and allies in difficult situations. They can carry the player across wide regions, take to the skies, and join battles. Their presence is meant to shape both exploration and settlement management, because the bond formed with each creature is presented as a practical part of survival itself. Spontaneous behavior, affectionate moments, and interactions with other monsters should make the group feel more alive.

Breeding expands that relationship further. By pairing creatures of the same species, players can pass abilities, traits, and special characteristics to future generations. The system focuses on searching for specific combinations of stats and offers the chance to obtain rare color variations. The idea is not just to catch a powerful creature, but to raise a unique partner over time and decide which qualities to develop. This could turn breeding into a long-term activity built on experimentation, with progression shaped by player choice. Each new offspring may therefore change the way exploration, combat, and life at the base are approached.

Wild Wild Eden will support solo play as well as online sessions with friends. Co-op will allow players to build larger settlements and take on different roles within the community, leaving room for dedicated breeders, ambitious builders, and explorers. The maximum concurrent player count has not been announced, but the multiplayer setup is framed around giving everyone a recognizable contribution. An announcement trailer and a gameplay trailer are already available, outlining the adventure’s tone and its main activities. With Early Access set for spring 2027 on PC, Wild Wild Eden is positioning its mix of survival systems and creature bonds as the heart of a new shared world.
