You are Declan Wayne. A lifetime ago, you were the archaeologist who unearthed Ravelle and its three dead civilizations. This was supposed to be your legacy.

However, in your curiosity and hubris, you broke the seals holding back something that should never have been touched. With your mind irrevocably scarred, you fled. For years you searched for a cure, yet you found none…except to return to Ravelle, the source of your failure.

Now you are back. Raise an expedition of occultists and mercenaries, cut your way to the heart of Ravelle descent by descent, and claw back your mind before what's left of you wanes.

RAISE AN EXPEDITION

Recruit an assassin with a demon in control of his vocal cords; a disgraced fighter pilot turned mecha; a magician with a penchant for taking Death for a ride at their poker nights; and more.

These colorful characters are the hired hands who will delve into Ravelle in your stead. Be careful: they tend to bleed, break, and die.

EVERY ROOM, A WAR OF ATTRITION

With every descent, your expedition will fight horrors reshaped by your past in high-stakes, turn-based combat encounters.

Create powerful builds and combos with your party members and the trinkets they find on the way down; use the environment to your advantage; and pray that the dice roll in your favor.

Injuries accumulate, supplies run dry, and luck runs out.

Get out of Ravelle with the loot and your life, and prepare for your next descent. Don't worry: the monsters will be waiting for your return.

PUSH DEEPER WITH EACH RUN

Every run has the same goal: reach the heart of Ravelle, cut out the rot, and find the cure to your mind.

This is a marathon, not a sprint. Ravelle raises the horrors you've slain and reshuffles her rooms between runs.

Yet not everything resets. Unlock safe rooms. Break open shortcuts. Learn which enemies to fight and which to slip past. And somewhere in her halls, find kindred spirits from your past who'll help you push deeper than you did before.

KEEP YOUR EXPEDITION TOGETHER

Everyone on the expedition has his or her own reasons for being in Ravelle, beyond the paycheck you so generously sign after every descent.

Uncover what they're really after. Solve their problems, or exploit them. Stamp out infighting before it costs you your pace. And choose your side carefully: every decision wins the loyalty of some of your fellow occultists and risks earning the ire of the rest.

BANKROLL THE NEXT DESCENT

You spent a lifetime building a fortune, and reopening Ravelle cost you all of it. Now your expedition base needs supplies, the mercenaries need paychecks, and someone has to pay the medical bills. Luckily, you're a damn fine antiquarian, and Ravelle is a treasure trove of relics and trinkets.

Your hired hands bring back artifacts with each descent: keep them to unravel Ravelle's history, or sell them to the highest bidder to fund the next run.
