Stray Dog: nobody cares is an action adventure soulslike for PC from Parry Frames Studio, currently listed as coming soon on Steam. The game has already caught attention online thanks to a premise that is easy to understand and hard to ignore: its protagonist is a stray dog carrying a sword in its mouth.

The setting is a dark fantasy medieval age torn apart by endless wars between kingdoms. The border fief of Greythorn is invaded by a tyrannical legion, while villages, servants and animals are crushed without gods or heroes stepping in. The main character is an unnamed hound raised by a disgraced retired knight, a man who once served the legion but was discarded after uncovering its dark secrets.
When the knight is captured, the dog sets out to rescue him. That gives the journey a sadder edge than a simple novelty pitch: this is not a chosen warrior, but a creature dismissed as roadside trash by everyone except the one person who gave it a home. Comparisons to Dark Souls’ Sif are easy to understand, even though Stray Dog is not officially connected to FromSoftware’s series. Players have already leaned into the joke with the nickname “Bark Souls”.
The combat loop includes the kind of tools soulslike fans expect, from precise parries and backstabs to deathblows, special combat arts, explorable levels, treasures, experience, gold and skill unlocks. The thought of facing brutal bosses as a sword-wielding dog is enough to make the project stand out. Players who want to track its release can use the Playority Calendar to save games to their account, receive notifications and keep personalized updates organized.
