Graveyard Keeper 2 will launch on September 22, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam. The sequel from Lazy Bear Games, published by tinyBuild, brings back the medieval cemetery management sim with a darker business plan, placing players in the role of the Grand Inquisitor as the kingdom faces a zombie apocalypse.

The premise keeps the series’ grotesque sense of humor. The graveyard still needs to be built, expanded and turned into a productive machine, but management now reaches beyond tombstones. Players must restore the Town, help residents rebuild their homes and turn local problems into revenue.
Progression revolves around gathering resources, from flora and fauna to human remains, then using them to build machines, automate production and expand the cemetery with a more structured flow. Zombies return as workers, handling the heavy lifting behind the scenes and helping the player connect larger production systems.
A stronger action layer sits beside the management loop. As the Inquisitor, players lead an undead army against the zombie apocalypse, build towers and fortifications, craft weapons and armor, equip and train foolish troops and turn the defense of the realm into another part of the same profit-driven operation.
The story keeps leaning on black comedy, grotesque characters and absurd situations, while giving players more reasons to grind through tasks, recipes, quests and profits without losing the macabre tone of the original. Graveyard Keeper 2 aims to broaden the core loop with deeper automation, more combat and a tighter connection between the graveyard, the Town and the war against the dead.
