The project is an action roguelite, so it is not simply a linear retelling of the original story. Each playthrough can alter character growth through randomized ability boosts, letting players create different builds and adapt combat around the upgrades they find during a run. The structure focuses on action, variable progression and challenging enemies, with a rhythm designed to shift from one attempt to the next.

The narrative core still comes from Cid Kagenou, a boy reincarnated in another world after spending his previous life training to become a figure who operates from the shadows. In that new world, he takes on the role of Shadow, invents a dark cult to fight as part of his fantasy and then discovers that the threat actually exists. From that misunderstanding comes Shadow Garden, the secret organization formed by the girls who begin to worship him as their leader.

That premise fits naturally into a roguelite framework, giving the game room for theatrical power, exaggerated combat and unpredictable progression while keeping the series’ strange comedy of misunderstandings intact.
