BECROWNED has been delayed from fall 2026 to the first quarter of 2027. Publisher Top Hat Studios and developer 13th Street Games have also announced PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2 versions alongside the previously revealed PC release on Steam. The psychological survival horror follows Richard Torrance into a strange dimension where his pursuit of happiness becomes entangled with an obsessive need for control.

Richard believes determination alone should let him seize the life he wants, but his achievements cannot resolve his dissatisfaction. Searching for an answer draws him into increasingly disturbing places, where reality and madness become difficult to distinguish. His relationships with people both within and outside this dimension help determine his fate. Interconnected stories form a nonlinear narrative with multiple endings shaped by player decisions.
Exploration involves managing resources, solving puzzles, and investigating what is happening around him. A picnic with a loved one turns into a nightmare, taking Richard into a dark world caught between waking life and dreams. Looking more closely at its inhabitants can reveal motives that are not immediately apparent.
The visual approach combines modern technology with a retro aesthetic. Its latest trailer reflects influences from 1970s and 1980s grindhouse cinema, surreal French horror and dark satire, and Russian cultural and literary references. The game includes intense violence, blood, gore, and body horror. A specific launch date has not yet been announced.
