PlayStation Plus Essential has confirmed its monthly games for November 2026, with Dead Island 2, Monster Train 2 and Tomb Raider IV–VI Remastered all joining the lineup on November 3. The selection covers three quite different styles of play, moving from zombie-slaying action to a card-based roguelite and a collection of classic Lara Croft adventures. Dead Island 2 and Tomb Raider IV–VI Remastered will be available on both PS5 and PS4, while Monster Train 2 is included for PS5 only.
Dead Island 2 takes place in a Los Angeles overrun by zombies, where familiar parts of the city have become dangerous places to explore while completing quests and meeting survivors. Much of the action revolves around close-range combat, with a wide selection of weapons designed for taking apart the undead and a deliberately over-the-top, pulpy tone running through the adventure. Players can work through the game alone or team up in online co-op for up to three people, making it the most straightforward choice in the lineup for anyone looking to play alongside friends.

Zombie action with online co-op for up to three players.
Monster Train 2 offers a very different challenge. Its story brings angels and demons together against the Titans, who have taken control of Heaven, but the battles themselves are fought by building decks and defending a train across three vertically arranged floors. Five new clans provide different strengths and tactical possibilities, so choosing which units to recruit, which cards to upgrade and where to place your defenders becomes central to each run. Unlike Dead Island 2, this is a single-player roguelite built around experimentation, where a successful approach depends on how well the deck and the creatures on board work together.

Deckbuilding roguelite with five clans and three floors to defend.
For anyone in the mood for classic adventures, Tomb Raider IV–VI Remastered collects three entries from Lara Croft’s Darkness Trilogy: Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation, Tomb Raider: Chronicles and Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness. Bringing these games together offers an opportunity to revisit that period of the series without having to approach each release separately. The most noticeable option is the ability to switch between the original polygonal models and updated visuals at any point during play. Returning players can keep the look they remember, while newcomers can explore the same collection with a remastered presentation, rather than having to commit to one style before starting.

Three classic adventures with original or remastered visuals.
We’ve also included user-review percentages from the Steam versions to offer some context on how these games have been received. They are not ratings for the PlayStation releases, and the review categories need to be read carefully: Steam currently highlights English-language reviews for Dead Island 2 and Monster Train 2, while the figure available for Tomb Raider IV–VI Remastered covers overall reviews. These numbers will naturally change as more players leave feedback, but they provide an additional point of reference alongside the three very different games arriving in November.
