Anima: Song from the Abyss is set for 2027 on PC and console

Anima: Song from the Abyss is scheduled for 2027 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam. The announcement also confirms the game’s setup: an action RPG set in the Anima: Beyond Fantasy universe, built around two playable protagonists and real-time combat that blends action with RPG progression.

The story begins on an imperial zeppelin thrown into chaos after most of the crew suddenly disappears. Knight Soren, the last defender on board, is protecting a dangerous relic when he releases Noein, a legendary entity trapped inside it. The attempt to save the ship turns into a disaster, and the journey continues into the Abyss, a mysterious realm tied to the fall of an ancient civilization.

The game is built around character switching, with two distinct protagonists that bring different abilities to combat and exploration. Confirmed features also include large boss fights, skill upgrades, weapon forging, and multiple combinations to customize each character. The result is a structure that mixes fast battles with steady RPG growth and a story focused on secrets, choices, and the bond between the cast.

No more specific date has been announced yet, but the 2027 window, platform list, and gameplay structure already give the project a clear profile: a story-driven action RPG with a strong narrative focus and a direct connection to the Anima: Beyond Fantasy universe.
