Beaten Path brings Fire Emblem-style tactics to consoles and PC in 2027

Beaten Path will launch in 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. The Kickstarter-funded turn-based tactical RPG is developed by Peacebreak Studio and published by Wales Interactive. Its multiplatform release brings grid-based battles inspired by Final Fantasy Tactics and Fire Emblem into a world ruled by fallen gods and ancient machines.

The story follows Panna and her companions as they uncover a forgotten war and the heroine’s place within it. Lost memories, former allies, and ruined machinery are connected to a fate that keeps repeating. The time-loop mystery runs through the journey, turning every recovered clue into another piece of a larger truth.

Combat rewards positioning, unit synergy, and careful use of terrain. Players can flank enemies, combine decisive abilities, and shape every recruit through a flexible job system. Dual-class loadouts, stat-boosting traits, equippable skills, and unlockable outfits create room for different builds, allowing the party to evolve around a preferred tactical approach as the campaign develops.

Exploration takes place across an illustrated overworld shaped by changing weather, unusual landmarks, and narrative events. Sunken temples and storm-lashed shores hide choices, challenges, and pieces of lore. The cast includes 25 fully voiced characters, each represented through distinctive 2D artwork, an individual 3D model, and a personal story. The official website for Beaten Path also outlines the game’s main systems and visual identity.
