BLACKWOOD: Act 1 will launch for PC via Steam on September 16, 2026. The third-person action thriller from AttritoM7 Productions and IZilla Games takes players to New York in 2012, following a cinematic story built around a double life: by day, a DVD store owner; by night, a contract killer pulled deeper into the city’s criminal underworld.

The protagonist is Anton Blackwood, a man trying to preserve an ordinary front while his past and present begin to collide. The store is not just a narrative cover. Players can manage and customize it by restocking shelves, organizing inventory, setting prices, decorating the space and returning to the apartment that anchors the quieter side of Anton’s life.
Outside the shop, BLACKWOOD shifts into physical combat, responsive gunplay and contextual takedowns. Dives, rolls and slides support movement through dangerous encounters, while the environment can become part of close-quarters fights. The action combines firearms, grounded melee, progression, equipment, resources and abilities that can be shaped around different playstyles.
Act 1 is the first chapter of a planned three-act story, but BLACKWOOD is not being positioned as an Early Access release. The first act will include four main missions, multiple side missions and additional content for more than six hours of gameplay. The next acts are planned as free updates for existing owners, with Act 2 currently set for March 2027 and Act 3 for September 2027.
Players who want to track BLACKWOOD until launch can use the Playority Calendar to save games to their account, receive notifications and keep personalized updates organized around release dates, updates, content drops and upcoming Steam releases.
