The story moves Castlevania to medieval Paris in 1499, where the city is burning as monstrous creatures emerge from the shadows. Trevor Belmont, the hero who defeated Dracula, enters the ruined streets with his daughter Rose Belmont. Armed with the legendary holy whip Vampire Killer, they hunt the beasts spilling out from the castle looming over the city. Rose is soon pulled into a darker conspiracy hidden beneath the chaos, with the fate of Paris hanging in the balance.

Gameplay brings the whip back to the center of the experience, not only as a weapon but also as a movement tool. Rose can use it to move freely through the world with an acrobatic rhythm, then turn that same mobility into an advantage during fast-paced fights. Mastering the whip will matter in both exploration and combat, encouraging players to combine spacing, timing, movement, and aggressive attacks.

The boss lineup includes classic threats such as Death, Medusa, and Carmilla, alongside new enigmatic figures including Joan of Arc. Defeated bosses are sealed into Rose’s tarot cards and become Arcana, giving her access to special skills, spells, and unique actions. That system adds another layer to combat, letting players expand their options beyond direct attacks and adapt their style as new powers are collected.

Customization will also come through equipment, relics, and weapons spread across seven distinct categories. Relics can trigger powerful offensive and defensive effects, while exploration will reward players with new tools to shape Rose’s battle style. The maps will mix familiar elements inspired by classic Castlevania entries with new features and refined gothic visuals. The Standard Edition will cost $29.99, while the Midnight Edition adds a Digital Sound and Art Gallery, Trevor Style Costume, Sypha Style Costume, and the Family’s Grace relic. Pre-orders for both editions include the Alucard Style Costume as an in-game bonus.
