Chosen by Odin is the new cooperative action RPG from Bedtime Digital Games, announced for Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store and Microsoft Store. The game does not have a release date yet, but its direction is already defined: action RPG combat, roguelite progression and one-to-three-player adventures across realms rooted in Norse mythology.
The premise sends warriors chosen by Odin against the cults of Ragnarok. Players take on dangerous quests through the Nine Realms, using godly powers to survive growing hordes, crush cultists, complete objectives and escape before each realm becomes overwhelming. The game can be played solo offline or in online co-op with up to three players.
Progression is built around Fate Dice, crafted dice brought into each run to shape how the team develops. During blessing drafts, everyone’s dice roll onto the table and enhance a shared pool of upgrades. Players then take turns drafting blessings, creating a cooperative layer where the best choice may be strengthening your own build or leaving a better option for a teammate.
Combat uses distinct warriors and different styles, from thrown axes and shields to destructive spells and god-given abilities. Chosen by Odin includes more than 50 blessings, six Patron Powers with multiple upgrade paths, powerful bosses, randomized side events and hidden rewards. Each expedition asks the team to decide whether to push deeper for better resources or focus on the main quest and extract before the pressure becomes too high.
Valhalla acts as the long-term progression hub. Resources brought back from successful runs can be used to forge new dice, customize the dice bag and permanently upgrade stats and abilities before returning to tougher realms or taking on boss quests.
