CONQ: Crown of No Quarter has been announced for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam, with release planned for 2027. The game from Athena Game is a dark fantasy tactical action title set in a brutal purgatory, where the promise of a glorious afterlife gives way to an endless war between armies drawn from different eras.
The world is built around the Eternal Shift and the land of the iron loop, a hostile space where escape is impossible and death offers no real release. The player awakens under the gaze of a cold, unknown presence, forced to fight through mud, rusted iron, bone-clad fleets and campaigns that have nothing heroic about them. The goal is not to march toward glory, but to survive long enough to impose a crown through force.
Combat combines frontline action with real-time strategic commands. The player is not kept at the edge of the battlefield: they lead the assault directly, master the heavy impact of medieval martial arts and command loyal regiments at the same time. Executing rival commanders allows players to claim the Coronation and break enemy forces, turning personal duels into tactical pressure on the larger battle.
CONQ also leans into the scale of war. Battles move across land and sea without a rigid divide, with siege warfare, naval combat, boarding actions and hundreds of troops involved. Factions do not follow traditional historical alliances. The corrupted world of purgatory throws cross-era warriors against one another and pushes every side toward ruthless, opportunistic and often desperate choices.
Anomalies add the darkest layer to strategy. Mutations, undead legions, shadow curses and collapsing morale can turn a fight when conventional strength is not enough.
