SEGA has announced Crazy Taxi: World Tour, a new entry in the series coming in 2027 to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store. After the initial tease in 2023, the game returns with a clearer identity and a familiar promise: bring back the outrageous energy of Crazy Taxi while expanding it into a broader structure built around missions, different cities, customization, and multiplayer modes.

The new adventure follows Axel as he hunts down a mysterious group of masked criminals who stole his beloved taxi. The World Tour campaign sends players across the globe through five different cities, each built around its own terrain, challenges, and eccentric characters. The goal remains true to the spirit of the series: drive like a maniac, earn crazy money, deliver passengers, and turn every route into a test of speed, risk, and improvisation.

Gameplay will focus on extreme driving, with outrageous drifts, huge jumps, and wild speed across dynamic maps. Players will transport passengers, complete missions, take on side jobs, and find different ways to earn money while pushing each city to its limit. Progression also includes a wide range of unlockable vehicles and customization options, letting players create a ride that feels personal instead of simply choosing a standard cab.

Alongside the story-driven campaign, Arcade Mode returns to capture the classic rhythm of Crazy Taxi with a race against the clock where the objective is to earn as much cash as possible. Multiplayer will expand the formula further, allowing players to show off their driving skills against friends and online competitors around the world, including across platforms. Crazy Taxi: World Tour is aiming for a clear balance: preserve the immediate, chaotic driving that defined the original games while building a larger global adventure with new cities, new missions, customizable vehicles, and online competition designed to keep the madness going beyond a single run.
