Mindscape and Floor 84 Studio have announced Dog Man: Bark in Action, a side-scrolling adventure platformer coming this fall to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. The game brings the Dog Man comic-book universe into a new interactive adventure filled with action, humor, boss fights, and ability-granting gadgets that change how players move through levels and deal with obstacles.
The story follows Dog Man and his Supa Buddies as they face Dr. Scum, who has placed Hypno Screens around the city to mind-control innocent townsfolk. Dog Man, part dog and part man, must fight back against the villain and his minions, rescue his friends, and save the city. The tone stays close to the spirit of Dav Pilkey’s comic books, with a light, colorful, and family-friendly approach built around simple action and playful comedy.
Players will switch between Dog Man, Li’l Petey, and 80HD, each with special abilities used to overcome obstacles and defeat enemies. Other friends can also be called in to help, including Commander Cupcake and Chief, bringing the total roster to 10 playable characters. That variety gives the game its main cooperative rhythm, with different powers supporting both combat and exploration across the campaign.
Dog Man: Bark in Action will feature 60 action-packed levels set in recognizable locations from the Dog Man universe, including Cat Jail and Robo-Time Industries. Beyond the main stages, players can take on Time Challenges and discover Mystery Levels filled with surprises. The game can be played solo or with a second player in local couch co-op, while sprockets and yarn are used to unlock gadgets and craft new outfits, including Scarlet Shredder, Cat Kid, and more.
