Set in the fantasy realm of Raoah, the adventure follows the mysterious Hira as he confronts ancient gods and pieces together his forgotten past. Fast combat, traditional animation, full voice acting, and JRPG-inspired storytelling are tied to the Fated Bonds, allies with distinct abilities for battle and traversal. Building their trust strengthens their Talents and unlocks Ascensions connected to Hira’s origins. The official website for Fallen Tear: The Ascension also introduces Sanctuary, a ruined base that can be rebuilt with facilities such as a smithy and combat arena.

The current Early Access build contains 10 connected regions, six main bosses, three optional bosses, and 10 Fated Bonds. The full release adds another 10 major regions, five main bosses, 19 optional side bosses, and 11 new allies, each bringing its own abilities and story moments. Hira’s progression will also expand through three additional Ascensions, six Hunter Skills, four Elemental Imbuements, and 16 advanced Mastery Skills, creating more options for combat, movement, and character building.

Version 1.0 is expected to offer 35 to 40 hours of story content, rising beyond 80 hours for full completion. English, German, Brazilian Portuguese, and Simplified Chinese will be supported at launch, while Italian, French, Spanish, Turkish, Japanese, and Korean will follow later. For players who joined during development, September marks the point where the opening act becomes a complete journey, adding new regions, more relationships, and the ending that has been built throughout Early Access.
