Gallipoli launches August 20 for PS5, Xbox Series and PC

Gallipoli has a new release date: BlackMill Games’ historical FPS will launch on August 20, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. The game is the fourth entry in the WW1 Game Series after Verdun, Tannenberg and Isonzo, moving the series toward the Ottoman campaigns of World War I.

The official website for Gallipoli puts the focus on the beaches of the Gallipoli Peninsula, expeditions across Mesopotamia and a wider view of the Ottoman Fronts. Maps will take players from Anzac Cove to the assault on Cape Helles, the streets of Kut Al Amara and other coastal, desert and urban battlefields tied to the campaign.

The core remains an objective-based multiplayer FPS, with 25v25 battles and a hardcore “one-shot-one-kill” structure. Players fight as regular soldiers of the British and Ottoman Empires, choosing from ten historical classes with specialized battlefield roles. Officer, Heavy Machine Gunner, Sniper and Stretcher Bearer are among the options, pushing squads toward stronger coordination instead of isolated running and gunning.

Gallipoli also brings several movement improvements. Sprinting will no longer be blocked completely when stamina is empty, though it will slow down; with full stamina, players can run faster for a short burst. Sprinting while crouched or prone will also be possible, helping players move through trenches without standing fully exposed, while bayonets and melee weapons support more aggressive close-range charges.

Immersion is being reinforced through audio, visual effects, detailed environments and dust thrown up by explosions, which can linger in the air and become cover during attacks or retreats. Full cross-play support will let PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series players squad up together, while bots can join public matches and appear optionally in custom matches to keep battles populated.
