Game Pass is opening August 2026 with 12 titles covered by new arrivals and expanded plan availability, alongside the Gears of War: E-Day Early Access Open Beta. The beta begins August 6 as a benefit for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers, providing the first public opportunity to experience the new Horde Siege player-versus-environment mode. This evolution of the familiar Horde format is designed around larger maps, more players, and bigger battles. The wider schedule runs through August 18, mixing day-one launches, Game Preview releases, returning games, and titles becoming available through additional subscription tiers.
Heretic + Hexen and Beast of Reincarnation are available today. The first package brings together two influential dark fantasy shooters in an enhanced re-release with broader platform, language, and accessibility support across cloud, console, handheld, and PC. Beast of Reincarnation arrives on day one with Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Game Freak’s new action RPG combines real-time and turn-based combat while following Emma and her dog Koo through a beautiful but unforgiving world. August 6 will also add Monsters are Coming!, a tower-survivor roguelite about protecting an ever-moving city, and PowerWash Simulator 2, which expands its cleaning formula with fresh locations, equipment, features, and cooperative play.
August 11 carries the busiest group of additions. Bounty Star combines over-the-shoulder mech combat and customization with farming and base building, following former soldier and expert pilot Clem. Date Everything! turns the home into a sandbox dating simulator featuring 100 fully voiced romance options, ranging from ordinary furniture and appliances to far stranger concepts. Grounded 2 will also become available through Game Pass Premium while joining Ultimate and PC Game Pass in Game Preview. Its miniature survival world supports solo and cooperative play, weapon and armor crafting, base construction, buggy traversal, and the major “Into the Abyss” update. Ball x Pit follows on August 12 with a mixture of brick-breaking, ball fusion, base building, roguelite progression, and survival against enemy hordes.
Three more games arrive on August 13. Cricket 26 introduces a new management career, an expanded Ashes mode, Pro Team roster building, and updated on-field mechanics. Mio: Memories in Orbit offers a hand-crafted Metroidvania set inside a vast decaying world reclaimed by nature and machines. Playing as the agile android Mio, players will explore labyrinthine environments, battle rogue robots, uncover secrets, and recover lost memories. Sandustry launches on day one in PC Game Preview, focusing on fully destructible worlds, mining, factory automation, and increasingly complex production chains. Egging On closes this wave on August 18, challenging players to control a fragile egg while jumping, rolling, and climbing through a henhouse, farm shop, factory, and other hazardous locations.
The update also includes a 10-hour EA Play trial for Madden NFL 27 beginning August 6 on console and PC. Game Pass subscribers can already claim Call of Duty: Warzone Game Pass Pack 7, containing Operator Skins, Weapon Blueprints, a Finishing Move, customization items, and a one-hour double weapon experience token. Recent additions worth noting include Tears of Metal in PC Game Preview and four original Xbox games now playable on PC and supported handhelds: BLiNX: The Time Sweeper, Conker: Live and Reloaded, Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge, and Fuzion Frenzy. Menace, Atlas Fallen, Aliens: Fireteam Elite, and Firewatch will leave the Game Pass library on August 15.
