Microsoft has announced nine games joining Game Pass between October 8 and October 16, including Battlefield 6, Valor Mortis, and Forever Ago. The additions arrive alongside a sizeable departure list: nine games leave on October 15, with Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, A Plague Tale: Requiem, and Pacific Drive among them. Subscription requirements vary across the announcement. Most incoming titles are listed for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, while Neon Abyss 2 will also be available through Game Pass Premium.
October 8 brings Echo Weaver, Forever Ago, and Neon Abyss 2. Echo Weaver is a knowledge-based metroidvania where players use discoveries and time-altering anomalies to break a loop. Forever Ago follows Alfred on a journey north after a personal tragedy, combining a single-player road trip with photography and encounters with new people. Both join Ultimate and PC Game Pass on their launch day. Neon Abyss 2 offers roguelike platforming in a pixel-art cyberpunk setting ruled by ancient and modern gods, with repeated runs forming the path through its hostile world.
Battlefield 6, Deep Dish Dungeon, and Valor Mortis follow on October 13, all through Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Battlefield 6 brings large-scale warfare, close-quarters battles, and tactical destruction. EA Play members can also claim the Deployment Pack and Season 5 EA Play Pack, alongside recurring seasonal rewards. Ultimate includes EA Play and a 10 percent discount on eligible EA digital purchases. Deep Dish Dungeon launches into the subscription with survival, crafting, puzzles, and metroidvania elements inside a handcrafted dungeon, playable alone or in online cooperation.
Valor Mortis is another day-one addition. The first-person action soulslike comes from the creators of Ghostrunner and follows a former soldier from Napoleon’s army who rises from death. Supernatural powers and battles against monsters accompany an investigation into a conspiracy threatening humanity. All three October 13 additions are listed for cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with handheld support also specified for Valor Mortis.
On October 15, Bluey’s Happy Snaps and Chained Beasts launch into Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Bluey’s adventure lets players explore familiar locations with Bluey and Bingo, taking photographs alone or alongside a second player. Chained Beasts is a gladiator roguelike for one to four players, whose fighters are chained together and can use those chains and the arena against enemies. Beyond These Stars arrives on PC on October 16, tasking players with building a city on a Space Whale, managing supply chains, and meeting aliens during its journey.
Shape of Dreams, Minecraft Dungeons II, and Gears of War: E-Day are already available. Shape of Dreams also supports Premium and features cooperative roguelite action for up to four players. Asphalt Legends benefits are available across Ultimate, Premium, Essential, and PC Game Pass, providing the Ford GT MKII, 250 tokens, and 250,000 credits.
Leaving on October 15 are A Plague Tale: Requiem, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Crime Scene Cleaner, Donut County, Evil West, Pacific Drive, Superball, and The Casting of Frank Stone on cloud, console, and PC. Nova Roma also leaves its PC Game Preview slot. Subscribers currently working through any of these games have that deadline to consider when planning their next sessions.
