The story begins exactly where a Garfield nightmare should begin: with food. After Jon serves him a spinach lasagna inspired by Chef Monday’s recipe, Garfield falls into a deep sleep. Instead of a peaceful nap, he wakes inside a strange dream full of vegetables, sugar-free candy, and other unthinkable horrors. To escape the nightmare and restore his taste buds, Garfield must explore chaotic worlds, fight enemies, and search for lasagna along the way.

Garfield – Escape from Monday will feature three worlds and more than 40 levels, mixing bright environments, boss fights, collectibles, and platforming challenges. Movement is a major part of the adventure, with Garfield able to jump, climb walls, curl up, and use his feline agility to reach new areas. The result is positioned as an accessible 3D platformer with enough variety to support exploration, combat, and secret hunting.

Special costumes will be one of the game’s key mechanics. Garfield can dress as a turkey to fly, become a surfer to slide across water, and wear a cowboy outfit to swing with a lasso. Each costume comes with its own ability, giving players new ways to move through levels and overcome obstacles. Jon, Odie, Arlene, and Pookie will help him during the adventure, while Nermal and Squeak appear among the characters causing trouble.

Collectibles will also play a role outside the main path, allowing players to renovate Jon’s house with surprising objects. Garfield – Escape from Monday is therefore aiming for a mix of classic platforming, light customization, family-friendly humor, and dreamlike chaos, all wrapped around a character who would still rather be sleeping with a plate of lasagna nearby.
