Kick Moves to November on Steam With New Trailer

Kick has a new launch window: the cozy soccer side-scroller from nospacelost and Shoreline Games will now arrive on Steam in November 2026. The updated timing was revealed during the Convergence Showcase alongside a new gameplay trailer, following a busy summer that brought the game to IGN Live and introduced its first playable demo during Steam Next Fest.

The game follows “The Kid” on the way to school, turning an everyday commute into a side-scrolling run built around jumps, kicks, shortcuts, and soccer-ball control. Rather than working like a traditional soccer game, Kick focuses on small childhood moments: practicing in the park, moving through busy streets, racing to catch the train, and taking familiar routes to shave seconds off the trip before the school bell rings.

Kick is built around scenic, Japanese-inspired locations and a 23-level structure. Players move through streets, beaches, shaded underpasses, and wide parks, with each stage adding hazards to avoid and opportunities to use the ball in different ways. Some levels include timers designed to test precision and speed, but the game also supports a more laid-back approach by letting players disable those timers when they want a calmer run.

Beyond reaching the end of each stage, Kick includes in-game challenges tied to ball skills and coins to collect across the adventure. Those coins can unlock skins for the ball and flags, which can then be displayed in-game. On Steam, the game is listed as a single-player adventure, indie, and sports title, with a demo already available ahead of launch. The final release date remains open for now, but the full version is planned for November 2026.
