METRO 2039 is back with Renegade, a new gameplay trailer focused on the Stranger’s infiltration of Novoreich-occupied Moscow. The new FPS from 4A Games, published by Deep Silver, is due out in February 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store and the Microsoft Store.
The footage digs further into the Stranger’s dark past and still-mysterious identity, while showing a mix of stealth and direct combat. The action moves between careful movement, tense observation and moments where open firefights become unavoidable, turning Moscow into a hostile space where every advance carries risk.
The trailer also highlights some of the environments players will explore, from daily life inside Sevastopolskaya station to the deadly irradiated surface above. That contrast between inhabited underground spaces and ruined exterior zones remains central to METRO 2039, especially when atmosphere, exploration and environmental danger meet first-person stealth action.
New details were also shared for the Collector’s Edition, which will be available to pre-order later this year and includes a replica of the Stranger’s battle-scarred Spartan helmet. Players tracking METRO 2039 alongside other 2027 shooters can use the Playority Calendar to save games to their account, receive notifications and keep personalized updates organized around dates, platforms and new details.
