RAGNAROK PROJECT announced for PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2 and PC

RAGNAROK PROJECT has been announced as a new RPG set in the Ragnarok universe, with a release planned for the first half of 2027 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2 and PC via Steam. The game is being developed by WAYCORDER and published by Gravity and Daewon Media.

The project centers on choices and consequences in a reimagined world tied to the Ragnarok setting. Its story moves across deserts, ruins, research facilities and dimensional rift zones, with the Heart of Ymir also part of the setup.

Confirmed details also include party members and class roles such as Knights, Mages, Priests and Hunters. On Steam, supported languages are listed as English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Thai and Korean.

The first teaser and prototype gameplay footage point to a game that is still early in development, but already focused on narrative structure and party-based progression. The worldbuilding leans on familiar Ragnarok elements while shifting the setting toward a more fractured, reworked version of that universe.

That makes the announcement more than a simple title reveal. It also establishes the project’s tone, its core premise and the broad shape of its cast, giving a first look at how this new entry intends to build on the Ragnarok name without repeating the original MMO format.
