Stupid Never Dies now has a release date: GPTRACK50’s new single-player 3D action RPG will launch on October 21, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam. The Japanese release will follow on October 22, while SEGA has joined the project as its worldwide co-publisher and distributor. The announcement also reinforces the game’s deliberately excessive identity, built around a timid zombie, extremely fast progression, and chaotic combat. Its release date trailer introduces Phoenix Zaza Hotfeathers, a mysterious figure Davy encounters while descending into the dungeon.
Davy sits at the very bottom of monster society and begins the journey as an unusually weak zombie. His goal is to restore Julia, a frozen human girl, to life by surviving a dungeon controlled by monsters and becoming strong enough to complete the task. Each dive gives him opportunities to defeat enemies, gain levels, and collect strange items, gradually turning the awkward underdog into a far more dangerous fighter.
Combat is shaped by the ability to steal powers from defeated enemies and customize Davy’s undead body with bizarre upgrades. The system creates room for different combinations of abilities, physical modifications, and collected equipment, while keeping the action fast and focused on constant growth. Beneath the absurd humor is a progression loop where moving forward means consuming new sources of power, rebuilding the protagonist, and adjusting his fighting style around increasingly dangerous creatures.
Stupid Never Dies will be available in two editions. The Standard Edition costs $49.99 and includes the full game, while the $59.99 Glorious Idiot Edition adds the “TickTock Teddies: Nonsense Overload Pack.” This downloadable content includes five original TickTock Teddies that alter visual effects and music during the adventure. The changes include an oversized bobblehead for Davy, unique footsteps in Zombie Style, new impact effects, and remixed tracks for combat, the home area, level-ups, and Davy Burst sequences.
Music is also an important part of the game’s identity. Two official theme songs will be released across major music streaming platforms on August 4. The opening theme, “Stupid Never Dies,” is a high-energy pop-punk track performed by Davy and Julia. The ending song, “Restless, Reckless, Never Die, Fearless,” is performed by Davy and expresses his determination to bring Julia back to life. The international release will feature English voice-overs and subtitle support across several languages, including English, Italian, French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and both Traditional and Simplified Chinese.
