The Sinking City 2 returns to its flooded vision of Arkham with “Survive Arkham,” a new five-minute overview trailer focused on the setting, main characters, and core gameplay. Frogwares’ Lovecraftian survival horror sequel launches August 18 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG. The extended presentation provides a broader introduction to the decaying city and the horrors waiting for anyone who chooses to explore its streets rather than escape them.

Arkham has become a flooded and deteriorating place overrun by monsters, turning exploration into a constant struggle to remain alive. At the center of the story is Calvin Rafferty, a man who continues to descend deeper into the city’s mysteries even as the situation around him grows increasingly chaotic. His connection with Faye Bennett plays an important part in the narrative, while the reasons Calvin remains in a place that almost everyone else has abandoned become another mystery to uncover.
Gameplay brings investigation and survival horror together, asking players to explore Arkham, uncover information, and directly confront the creatures occupying its ruined areas. Resources are scarce and ammunition is especially valuable, making uncontrolled gunfire a potentially expensive mistake when a more dangerous encounter may be waiting ahead. Combat and investigation therefore share the same survival loop, with progress depending not only on winning fights but also on managing whatever supplies can be recovered during exploration.
Frogwares has also announced the voices behind its two central characters. Andrew Wheildon-Dennis plays Calvin Rafferty, following appearances in Baldur’s Gate III, The Invincible, 007 First Light, Blue Prince, and Dragon’s Dogma II. Faye Bennett is voiced by Gemma Whelan, known for Game of Thrones and for game roles including Elden Ring, Mass Effect: Andromeda, and Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III.
With release set for August 18, “Survive Arkham” puts the emphasis on the combination defining The Sinking City 2: a submerged Lovecraftian city, two characters tied closely to its nightmare, investigative exploration, and survival horror combat where every remaining resource can matter.
