Saber Interactive has released a new gameplay trailer for Turok: Origins, offering 47 seconds of footage from the action shooter bringing the series into a more modern setting. The game is due out this fall for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam. The footage focuses on the fast pace of combat, with hostile dinosaurs, natural environments, and alien threats all appearing in the same conflict.
Turok: Origins puts players in the role of the mystical Order of the Turok, powerful guardians fighting to protect humanity. The danger does not come only from prehistoric creatures. An alien force is also trying to destroy all human life in the galaxy, turning the adventure into a larger battle for survival across dangerous and unfamiliar worlds.
Action can be played from both first-person and third-person perspectives, leaving room for a more direct approach to each encounter. The arsenal includes plasma rifles, sniper weapons, bows, shotguns, and experimental alien technology. Players will also be able to collect Echoes to unlock special abilities, strengthen their preferred combat style, and gain an advantage in more dangerous situations.
The Lost Lands will provide the setting for the campaign, with dense jungles, ancient ruins, alien landscapes, and hidden secrets to uncover. Exploration will be joined by fights against ferocious dinosaurs, alien forces, and large bosses designed to test player skill, strategy, and equipment management.
Turok: Origins will also support online co-op, allowing players to tackle the adventure alone or alongside friends. The new trailer does not yet explain the full mission structure or progression systems, but it confirms a clear direction for the project: a return built around fast combat, futuristic weapons, special powers, and a world where dinosaurs and alien invaders are part of the same war.
