What Goes Up has been announced for 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store. The new game from Bossa Games, published by Team17, is a cooperative physics-based building game where construction becomes dirty, unstable and likely to end in disaster: relocate junk from dangerous planets and get it onto the recovery ship.

The setup centers on GALACTIC REFUSE CO., a company built around high-risk garbage removal solutions. Players become Stackers sent to worlds covered in Earth’s discarded trash, where almost anything can become structural material. A hot dog cart, a solar panel or an old bathtub can turn into part of a tower, an improvised bridge or a decision no responsible engineer would ever approve.
Missions ask players to stack, balance, climb, cross gaps and improvise with whatever is available. Building upward helps reach new heights, while sideways structures can bridge awkward terrain and open another route forward. Success depends on understanding the physics well enough to make each piece matter, but also on accepting that one misplaced object can bring the whole plan down.
The tools are designed to make the chaos slightly more manageable. Grav guns let players shift and place junk, hover packs help reach difficult spots and recover loose objects, while bounce pads can launch Stackers, materials and poorly judged strategies into the air. The planets add their own hazards, including lava rivers, electric dangers, meteor showers, unstable structures and the ever-present risk of teammates making everything worse.
What Goes Up can be played solo or cooperatively, with missions to solve, hazards to survive and outfits to find among the junk. Players who want to track it toward release can use the Playority Calendar to save games to their account, receive notifications and keep personalized updates organized around release windows, platforms and new trailers.
