Koei Tecmo and Team NINJA have announced Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember, the action RPG sequel to Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. The game will launch in early 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store, with availability also confirmed through Game Pass. The announcement brings the series back after the first game surpassed five million players worldwide.

The new entry remains rooted in ancient China and moves through the late Eastern Han period, when rival warlords fought for supremacy and the heroes of the Three Kingdoms began to emerge. At the center of the story is a nameless champion crossing vast battlefields as a phoenix rises from the fires of war, setting the tone for another journey where history, legend, and demonic threats collide.
Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember is built around an evolved version of the Chinese martial arts action that defined Fallen Dynasty. Players will need to master intense combat while facing powerful enemies and monstrous fiends across battlefields overrun by supernatural danger. The sequel will also place the protagonist alongside renowned heroes who left their mark on history, keeping the Three Kingdoms setting tied directly to both human conflict and mythic escalation.
Specific gameplay details remain limited for now, but the direction is clear: this is a sequel designed to expand the original formula with new battles, new demons, and a more ambitious take on its martial arts combat. The reveal was accompanied by an announcement trailer and the first screenshots. To celebrate the announcement, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty has also returned to Game Pass for Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC, giving players another chance to revisit the first chapter before Wings of Ember arrives.
